Prior to joining Kleiner Perkins, Lucas was at Thoma Bravo, a global private equity firm with over $170B AUM, where he focused on investing in growth and late-stage technology companies.

Kleiner Perkins saw this clearly, and when the founder came to us with the idea, it was an investment we made on the spot.
